“Once an idea comes into my head, it just festers and grows and a collection starts to take form. This is my favorite part, especially when the paintings I visualize make me laugh or are controversial.
I draw inspiration from my own life, from wonderful leisurely moments, celebratory moments, from the rich interiors around me and my love for wild floral arrangements.”
Clementine grew up in a generationally owned ocean front Inn in Maine. Surrounding oneself with beautiful things is something that was instilled in her since childhood. Gifts were always hand made, arts and crafts were carefully sifted through before showcased, and art classes were a regular. Her mother is an interior designer and her father, an artist. Her love to create has been a constant in her life, recently being harnessed in the restoration of her late 1700s historic home on the coast of Maine.
